Kings Fund on Autumn Budget Emphasises Critical State of Health & Social Care
The Kings Fund, with other health and social care Think Tanks, have produced a joint statement to highlight the critical state of health and social care prior to the Autumn Budget.
It draws attention to NHS funding dropping to the lowest level in this parliament and the need for funding gaps to be closed. There is a clear impact of continued austerity and rise in service demand on patient care. As these pressures increase there is a need for more credible medium-term strategies that recognise these demands and the potential repercussions on those who use health and social care services.
