National lockdown for England 2021
Guidance to follow
The only time you are able to leave your home is for specific purposes:
- essential shopping
- for work, if you absolutely cannot work from home
- exercise
- to seek medical assistance (including to get a Covid-19 test)
All primary and secondary schools and colleges must move to remote learning, except for vulnerable children and children of key workers until at least February half term.
The government has allowed early years provision to remain open. You should check with your provider for further details.
Shielding will resume for those who are clinically extremely vulnerable. Those affected will be written to in the coming days by the government as to what this means to them.
Telford & Wrekin Council are now asking you to book a COVID-19 test as a precaution
As the number of cases in our borough remains high and above the national average – we need to identify cases as early as possible, so we can slow down the spread of the virus.
Telford & Wrekin Council are now asking you to book a COVID-19 test as a precaution, if you are showing other symptoms, such as:
- Headaches
- Aches and pains
- Feeling tired for no good reason
- Sore throat
- Runny nose
- Sneezing
- Tummy ache in children
You can book a test online, it’s quick and easy.
